About Roanoke, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Conveniently located near both Fort Wayne and Huntington, Roanoke, Indiana is a growing community that still retains its small-town appeal. As of 2017, about 1,700 people called Roanoke home. Once the sight of fishing and hunting grounds of the Miami Indians, Roanoke flourished into a commercial center in the mid-1800s after the construction of the Wabash and Erie Canal. Today, the town is primarily residential and offers locals a safe and friendly place to live.

There are several places to visit in this Huntington County community. Roanoke Park offers two lighted baseball diamonds, tennis courts, soccer fields, a basketball court, and a large playground. In fact, many community events are held here, including the annual Fall Festival and the 4th of July fireworks. Several local restaurants are available in Roanoke, including Joseph Decuis and Emporium, Village Inn, Lock 4, and Moose & Mollie’s Café and Gelato. Visitors and residents alike will have plenty of places to look for a unique gift at Kathos Art and Gift, Crestwoods Gift, The Gray Dove, and many others.

Weather conditions in Roanoke vary dramatically throughout the year, creating four very distinct seasons. Winters here are snowy and cold and often feature freezing temperatures. Local residents who upgrade to a high-efficiency furnace system can look at significant cost savings depending on how much the AFUE rating improvements. However, it is important to note that some construction might be needed to accommodate additional CVC vent pipe and drain lines found in these high-efficiency systems.

Most residents also invest in central air conditioning systems to stay cool throughout the summer. Temperatures average in the 80s during July and August, and high humidity levels are typical for this region. Central A/C is preferred over single-room units, as it offers widespread and consistent cooling to an entire home. A trained Roanoke HVAC specialist should service these systems periodically to ensure they are in top working order.
