About Leo-Cedarville, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Leo-Cedarville, Indiana is a town located in Allen County. Once separate communities, Cedarville was founded in 1838, while Leo was platted in 1849. In 1996, the two villages formed incorporation to prevent annexation by nearby Fort Wayne. This newly combined community is served by East Allen County Schools, which includes Leo Jr/Sr High School for children grades 7-12.

While this town is primarily residential, there are several local businesses and recreational sites available. Fishing is popular in Leo-Cedarville, and residents can utilize the Cedarville Boat Launch or the DNR Boat Launch to get out on the water. Shopping is available at The Olde Church Shoppes and John Klopfenstein Furniture. The Cedar Creek Golf Club also calls Leo-Cedarville home, and local restaurants include East of Chicago Pizza, Leo Café, and Liechty Buffalo Ranch.

Leo-Cedarville is found within a humid continental climate zone, and weather conditions will vary with the seasons. Winters here are cold and feature moderate snowfall. Daytime highs reach the low-30s beginning in late-December, and each year, the region receives an average of 32 inches of total snowfall. It is important that locals prepare their home heating systems well in advance to prepare for these frigid conditions, and furnace system upgrades may be a wise investment. Both gas- and electric-powered options are commonly used in the area.

Summer weather in the region is markedly different, with high humidity and thermostat readings well into the 80s. Leo-Cedarville residents who opt for high-efficiency furnace systems will enjoy a wealth of benefits, including a reduced carbon footprint. These units are significantly better for the environment than other systems, as fuel consumption will be drastically reduced. High-efficiency models help to conserve natural resources and can lower carbon dioxide emissions. Still, even residents with older units can benefit from periodic maintenance in order to improve efficiency.
