About Huntertown, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Huntertown, Indiana is one of the fastest-growing areas in northeast Indiana, attracting new families each year. As of 2017, approximately 6,700 people lived here, which was a significant increase from the 4,800 people in 2010. Much of this growth can be attributed from people moving out of urban cities like Fort Wayne in favor of new, suburban subdivisions. Originally known as “The Opening” due to its location in a natural forest clearing, this Allen County town was settled around 1837.

While there aren’t any major attractions in Huntertown, there are a few noteworthy places to visit. Outdoor recreation is especially popular here at ACRES Land Trust, Huntertown Family Park, and the Bicentennial Woods. Local restaurants include The Kitchen Table and The Willows, and visitors in need of dessert might like to check out Sweet Sanity Ice Cream Bar.

Varied weather conditions in Huntertown require that residents invest in both home heating and cooling systems. The winter months here are cold and snowy with about 34 inches of total snow each year. There are also many days in which thermostat readings fail to surpass the freezing point, so the right furnace is needed at home. The U.S. Department of Energy requires that all new furnace systems have an AFUE rating of at least 80%, but older models may operate at considerably lower efficiency. An upgrade could be a wise investment, but regular servicing can also ensure existing systems work when they are needed.

Weather conditions are considerably different in Huntertown during the summer months. Temperatures warm up in April and May and lead into a hot and muggy summer season. The region also receives considerable rain and frequent thunderstorms during this time of the year, so the right precautions are needed at home. Most Huntertown residents opt for central air conditioning systems rather than single-room units, as they lead to improved comfort and more consistent cooling.
